only thing I wish is that it had an aux input for each ch on the front of the unit instead of the rear. other than that it seems to power every type of headphone very well
I purchased this headphone amplifier for my recording studio use. I used Personus HP60 and Behringer HA8000. Both supplied insufficient power to the headphones when musicians play their instruments. This ART amplifier drives Beyerdynamic DT-880-pro-250 well.
This headphone amp is awesome, the sound quality is very clean and the build quality is surprisingly very good. I was skeptical because of the price but as soon as I took it out the box I knew I had made a good choice.
This is a pretty nice unit, but it just doesn’t deliver enough power to drive even modest cans like the ATH-M20s to a sufficient volume for studio use. I bought this so my band can rehearse at my house without lugging around amps and bothering the neighbors, but to get sufficient volume for...
We upgraded to this for our headphone practice studio setup from a really old Behringer headphone amp. The sound quality it so much better. The EQ option is nice too.
The rear headphone jacks (parallel jacks present on front panel), mix controls, and Bass and Treble controls on each channel make this headphone amp extremely flexible and perfect for the studio where headphone feeds are permanently wired.
My Classic Rock band uses this for our IEMs. We have one for our practice room and one in our live rack. The sound is always top notch. We couldn't be more happy with this unit.
Does what it should, and it does it well. Solid build, all channels sound great. Individual EQ and panning is an awesome feature, not to mention the LED lights as a visual for volume. I can't think of anything that doesn't meet my needs... Now if I could find six people to record with.
The unit performs as stated great and clean sound and not to forget the controls on the front and live the rackmount
I picked this up to replace an older Samson SPhone. The ART is actually a very nice unit. I run 6 stereo mixes from my RME UFX into the Aux inputs on the rear and out to the room. Quiet with plenty of power, no problem running two sets of cans from each output if needed.
