The Nitro 5 is Acer's new multimedia/budget gaming notebook in the sub $1000 category, an alternative with different design lines to the Aspire VX15 and Aspire 7 series. It's a pretty good laptop with few flaws, but except for the looks, I doesn't give potential users any obvious reason to choose...

well made, nice and simple design lines, gets a matte IPS screen, decent keyboard and excellent trackpad, runs cool and quiet with daily use, fast wireless, efficient, able to squeeze much out of that 48 Wh battery, affordable price tag

somewhat dim and color deficient panel, keep an eye on potential overheating, with an impact on performance, very loud fans and the left side of the keyboard gets quite hot, only gets a 48 Wh battery
The Acer Nitro 5 series is a good mid-tier gaming laptop thanks to its hardware that can even run AAA games at a playable state even at ultra high settings. It has decent quality speakers and has long battery life when watching videos even at 1080p.
The Acer Nitro 5 Thanos Edition is simply a must-to-be-purchased gaming laptop if we let our hearts decide on it. If the packaging itself made our mouths water, our eyes are teary-eyed when we saw the actual unit itself. However, there is one major problem that users will face.
The Acer Nitro V AN515-51 offers the combination of an Intel Core i7 7700HQ with an NVIDIA GTX 1050 (4 GB) at a very attractive price point. It’s this configuration and Acer’s aggressive pricing that should see the Nitro V turning out to be one of the most popular gaming laptops under Rs.1 lakh.

Cheaper than similar configurations from competition, NVIDIA GTX 1050 + Intel Core i7 7700HQ

SSD not replaceable without voiding warranty, Internal battery
Let me begin by saying that I've been using this for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it! Pros: - Very fast processing and data transfer - Slick design - Red back-lit keyboard is awesome - Plenty of storage - Capable of playing new games using high settings.
After about 6 months of using this laptop, I can confirm that it deserves the 5/5 rating. Performance is great with pretty much everything I throw at it - starting from heavy matlab simulations, Big Solidworks models and hours of PUBG (around 70FPS with ~medium quality display settings) Almost no...
I got this to play wow, diablo 3, and overwatch on. And it does great even on max settings it is good! Maybe not the best on the high end graphics, but I'm really happy with it. I read a review saying the sound was bad, but I think it's just fine, also there was a review or two showing the hinges...
This is actually my first gaming focus laptop I’ve ever purchased. i wasn't sure how the performance would be after watching some review. But after i set up everything and started playing a game of OW, I instantly knew this was the smoothest highest quality computer ive ever tried, hands down.
I bought this to replace a 5 year old Toshiba Satellite laptop and wanted the same "experience" as far as speed between my work desktop and my home desktop because I hate getting a new computer and feeling slowness as I move between the 3 of them.
The hardware on this computer is cheap, broken multiple times, and has left me with a paperweight. If it's running, it's a good gaming laptop, but the hardware has a short lifespan.
Every game that I ever boot up with this laptop has unbelievably bad framerate. The game will constantly stutter and does not perform well. I try running all games such as Dead By Daylight, Minecraft, League etc and they all have this hitching problem.
Good for my gaming
3 years after, I still appreciate that laptop. I have one negative point: the very hard way to get a cable through acer support in order to add a ssd in its 2nd space. (I tried and gave up)
I've had this laptop for about 6 or 7 months. The first one I had for a couple weeks before the screen randomly broke while I was gaming-- the monitor started displaying double, offset by a few pixels from the original. Everything else still functioned, but the monitor was totally unusable.
