Monster markets these cans as studio-grade headphones appropriate for use by recording musicians, DJ’s, sound engineers and the like. Taking that into consideration, along with the Pro’s MSRP of $449.95 (though they can be had online for as little as $340) we tend to look upon these headphones as a...

Hefty, sometimes distracting bass response, Heavy
The Beats Pro by Dr. Dre from Monster Headphones deliver a sturdy design and top-notch sound quality for those who enjoy skull-shattering bass. If you're a casual listener and can afford them, they're a worthy investment, but if you're an audio purist then you may want to comparison shop.

Quality construction; dual input/output audio ports for communal listening; thumping bass; ear cushions can be removed and replaced.

May not be comfortable for everyone; weight is a little on the heavy side; some songs can sound harsh; travel case doesn't match up to the professional packaging of its predecessors.
The Good Powerful but not overwhelming bass. Distinct, clean high-range sounds. High quality construction. Tasteful but unique design. Flip-up cups, daisy-chain audio. Detachable cord. The Bad Expensive for casual listeners. Heavy. Lack of internal amp may affect some output. No mic or remote.

At the top of the article I said I thought the Beats by Dre Pro hit one and a half of their four target audiences. For DJs, full marks; the other half is the half of “hard core music lovers” who don’t care about the health of their ears, these headphones will do a great job of playing music loud for...
Solid build and lots of style, but an overzealous bass response.
Is there a Dr in the house? Dre shows his G-dawgs can make ace prosumer cans

Massive cans, massive price
Beats are very durable. I have had mine for almost 2 years now as a working dj and they still sound as crisp as the day i first got them.

Very durable, Made of aluminum.

Heavy, ear pads can fall off.
My old beats pro broke or should I say have been used way to much haha. I had the originals with Monster on it. They finally gave out after 5 years of using them every single day. Very durable. Some people prefer the comfort while I prefer it lasting through anything. The bass is tight and clean.
DON'T BUY THESE. GET HEADPHONES FROM A COMPANY THAT KNOWS HOW TO MAKE REAL AUDIO GEAR. (Sennheiser, Bose Audiotechnica etc.)

Inferior to every way to my bose AE2 headphones and cost more that twice as much. WAY TOO MUCH BASS. The bass drowns out the treble massively.
I reccomend this product to teenagers, or anyone older! not a good product for little kids! may break easily if not handled with care.

Sharp sound Clear comfortable Fashionable

The connection cord might break if your not careful! Shut it off when done
You all know I use these. You've all seen how I wear beats. No. I don't advertise for money, I do it so I can listen to music properly and professionally. I do NOT use beats in the studio FYI. In the studio I use headphones like Sony that I don't even care for. I also use Audio Technica.

A little bit of soud leak, Price
Beats by Dr. Dre pro headphones . My experience. I’ll start by talking about my experience with various headphones . When it’s comes to headphones , earphones, earphones specialized for sports I count my self to be an expert, because I have had them all.
They sound like premium airplane headphones, actually better put, like thumping trash, and i personally feel bad to anyone who got fleeced. If u don't trust me (which is understandable) look to any reputable reviewer to see what I mean.
These headphones sound half as good as the bose Q35. I see most people comparing them to Q25s which are older cheaper headphones that are 200 some odd dollars. The Bose Q35 are 50$ cheaper AND have replaceable parts. They have way better sound and are definitely better in comfort.
I'm a producer, and in this world, I had never feel so good with another headphones, Beats Pros are the best headphones ever....
Bought my Beats Pro in 2012. Until then I owned a lot of different headphones, but they all broke within the year or two years max, this made me chose to buy some decent quality. The aluminum body makes it heavy but also very sturdy.
