I would like to thank Warehouse Express for organising the binocular to be sent to me to review and another thank-you to Canon for sending it. I would also like to point out that all the reviews on this site, including this one, are my opinion of the binocular and are not influenced in any way by...

Image stabilization; what a great concept! No more worrying about the caffine in that cola or coffee. Pay no attention to the wind. Ignore the bumps in the road (or the waves in the ocean). These Canon's perform beautifully in almost every circumstance.

As a longtime birder, I have used and seen a lot of binoculars over the years, and I confess I currently own more pairs than I really need to pursue my hobby. I have a preference for 10x binoculars, but as I get older it does get a little tougher to hold the glasses steady hour after after.

Bought these to see an In This Moment concert old man style. Balcony seats, 1st row, left front corner of the stage. I could see definition that those on the floor could not. Great product.

I have owned many Canon and Nikon versions of the IS / VR binoculars. I have also tried the Fujinon Techno-Stabi's which are about identical to the NIKON Stabileyes. I can honestly say that I prefer the Canons easily over the others.

My first pair of these binoculars were great when new. After about 4 years the image stabilizing mechanism froze. Although I live about one mile from the coast, the Canon Factory Service said that they were corroded. Repairs would be almost the cost of a new pair...which I bought.

light weight very sharp for size.

not durable, not the quality one expects from canon

I've looked high and low for a binocular that would be an asset with my photography. The Canon IS binoculars have really hit the mark. I originally bought the first version with IS, but returned them and bought the second version just for the improved IS and weather sealing. I'm glad I did.

This is a truly amazing product. Although the price is a bit high, it is worth looking at. Ever wanted the image to be a just a bit less shaky when using binoculars? Well, now it is. What can I say, this is a revoultionary product.

    The image stabilising really works!

Light sensitivity is a bit low

Owned for >2 years. Optics excellent, NOT outstanding. Not as bright as more $ binoculars, and a bit less resolution. BUT, image stabilization works and makes more details really visible in the field than the high end optics can provide. After two hours of birding, you'll really appreciate them.
