I am absolutely in Love with this camera! It stands up to the challenge in low light, image quality and it knows how to focus and stay in focus and does it all very quickly. I made the initial mistake of purchasing the SonyHXR-NX100 and returned promptly in less than a week and swapped it for this...
Better battery life than the XA20 or 25. All, XA 20,25 and 30 perform well giving a quality product. The major drawback is controls size for larger hands. Easy 4+ star rating.
Reliable with quality imaging.
Small controls for larger hands.
Great camcorder. Easy to use, set up and shoot. I really like the audio hook ups because I can plug my senheiser mic directly into this camcorder without any adaptor. The different shooting modes are easy to use, and even manual mode is doable for a novice like me.
Really excited about this camera. This was purchased for professional use. So, far it's been easy to use and produces a great quality video. It's also light weight and easy to handle. Really excited to use it more.
Fun, useful little camera, but not really a "pro" camera IMHO. I've shot with Canon gear (C100, 5Dii, 5Diii) as well as Sony FS7.WHAT WORKS:Small.Convenient.Fantastic zoom range. And size. Love how small it is.WHAT'S JUST OK:The LCD is fine indoors. Marginal outdoors.
this is a good camera,,,,,,,,,ok with it
An amazing camera use this camera for wedding reception, parties, anniversaries amazing quality. handhold is the bonus great image stabilization also it's amazing quality in low-light situation definitely recommend for anyone who use this camera for run gun or pet Pro level
Video quality is great however white balancing seems a little trickier than with our XA10. Audio A/D converters seem to be even better in this model over the XA10. XLR inputs are very tight- have had difficulty removing some cables.
Every time I edit footage from the XA30, I'm astounded by how well it shoots in low light and how good the color is.I first discovered it's low-light capability by accident the first time I used it in a dark wedding reception.
Camera performs very well. I use it along with a XA20 for recording interviews and small events and it has done everything I expected it to.
