Really great dac and portable headphone amplifier, not very well known to the crowd as it does not get much attention on Head-Fi and other forums. It is frankly beyond me why Fiio products, for me cheap but somewhat mediocre to average products at best, get so much attention instead.
It is a treasure. Brings out the maximum of my Sennheiser HD 598. Well balanced, clear and full of details. A great companion for those who, like me, don't have much chance to listen music through some really good amp+speakers but longing for high-end sound quality at home.
It is easy to connect and the sound is really great. The size is a bit too big when You want to bring it with You...
What a difference this makes to the music playback on my iPhone. The soundstage and detail is so much better than it was before. It pays to shop around for the best deals on this product but at less than £160 this represents good value currently.
I have had two FiiO headphone amps and was pleased with how they worked. I have a pair of Audio Technica HD headphones and the first time I used the DA-10, they were awakened and came alive. The sound is well balanced and tight. I'm hearing detail now I've never heard before with the DA-10.
Terrible build quality despite that fact that the sound does improve. The case was appalling, looking like some really cheap mobile phone case with a cloudy transparent window. Not a premium accessory. Sent it back.
Great bit of kit.
Top class product
A head phone amp that allows you to take a audio source directly from the lightening port of your apple device as well as an aux input. Brings the music to life. Feels very light but performs well. Bit pricie so looses 1 star
