I have 2 of these mounted in a small case, it works great. It can play your program either from an SD card or USB, single or continuous tracking and has full control of the levels for headsets and the output.
Just like in the two other reviews here, I also had the problem with a "click" (or some strange noise) after each track in Single mode. My F300 came with firmware version 12.18, and after upgrading to version 17.23 this issue was solved (really annoying problem!). Now, I'm pretty satisfied.
We had problems using several Sony SD cards. With some research, we found it was an issue with the firmware. On top of that the firmwares do not seem to be sequentially numbered. Research the Denon web site and others before doing the firmware update.
Bought this for live gigs to play backing tracks, only trouble though is when it comes to the end of a track, especially in single play mode you hear a click which can be very annoying through a P.A. system. This is disappointing given its "Professional" tag. The sound quality is very good though.
In this review, I'll specify when a particular aspect or feature is either a benefit or liability by first stating what I'm attempting to use it for. My purpose is playback for theatrical dance recitals.
