Meant for home use, the HP Envy 4520 inkjet multifunction printer delivers higher quality for photos and graphics than for text, along with faster printing for photos than for business applications.

Automatic duplexer. Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. Prints through the cloud. Fast, high-quality photo printing in testing.
-
-
No Ethernet or fax. Installation software and front-panel LCD push hard to sell HP's Instant Ink Program. Slow for business applications and low-quality text in our tests.
The HP Envy 4520 is a capable all-in-one that combines a printer, copier and scanner with two ink delivery choices designed to ease back on expensive ink refills.
-
+
The HP Envy 4520 printer uses the latest ink delivery technologies to prolong cartridge life and potentially save you money through its Instant Ink delivery service. It also scored well in print speed tests and produced high-quality output results.

-
The printer lacks a memory card reader and an Ethernet port for direct networking. The touch display can also be tricky to use.
Both are good little printers with excellent print quality, and, thanks to Instant Ink, both are potentially very good values in terms of page cost. If the relative pricing changes before you get around to buying a new printer, though, and you decide to “settle” for the Envy 4520, we’re confident it...

Low purchase price, Excellent print quality, Easy to set up and use, Low cost per page (if you use Instant Ink), Wide cloud and mobile-device support, Small, lightweight
-
-
Very slow to print, Cost per page is prohibitive without Instant Ink, especially given two-cartridge system, No ADF, Small input/output trays (and the input one is flimsy)
An All In One unit which means it prints, scans and copies. The HP Envy4520 can do the last two actions without the PC needing to be turned on. In fact with printing being possible from phones and other non PC devices you might even buy one without owning a PC.
Photo paper jams all the time. The printer sounds like it is printing and you do not find out until the end of the printing process that the photo paper was jammed and nothing printing.

Good print outs from computer text

Photo paper jams
Bought this thing nearly a year ago and I have successfully been able to print literally 5 times. Right now I'm trying to print off some tickets but for the last 40 minutes no luck. I have to totally unplug it every time just to get the wireless to connect. This thing is so flawed.
Great printer and very affordable. setup my laptop wirelessly. it was easy and fast to do. HP makes very good products. The ink cartridges are very affordable.
I use the printer for occasional personal use. HP is a bit "over the top" when installing as they (HP) makes a big issue of asking for credit, etc. so they can sell you printer supplies! The printer works great over my WIFI without wires.
Didn't need a five-in-one printer, so we got this one. It was easy to set up, prints perfectly all pages very quickly, not just the first one, like our previous HP printer. We Love it!
I have only had this printer for a few weeks, so I can not speak to its durability. Based on what I know now, I would recomend it.

small. easy to use.

I have not had it long enough to know if it is durable.
This is a small compact printer that was easy to set up. My iPhone was printing immediately and the other two computers both running windows 10 I had to load the I enclosed disc but they were up and running on wifi in 15 minutes. Print quality very good.
i was dubious at first, but the first time i turned it on was great! it heated very fast to 78 derees, but was done with my work and tapped it three times and the countdown began and 15 seconds later was off and i disconnected it as instructed.
Very pleased. Haven't had it long enough to see if I like the ink feature, but the printer itself is very good.
