Subtle improvements LG made to its OLED line for 2017 were significant enough to get us just that much more excited for OLED TVs, and the LG C7 OLED is the best choice of the crop. Simply put, you can’t buy a better TV in 2017. No. This is the best TV you can buy.

  • +

Best picture quality ever, Outstanding HDR performance, A joy to use, Beautifully designed

  • -

    OLED remains expensive

The OLEDC7P series of OLED TVs continues LG's trend of offering superb picture quality in a gorgeous, minimal design. But you'll pay handsomely for it.

  • +

Fantastic picture, with perfect black levels and wide, accurate colors. Attractive, minimal design.

  • -

Expensive. WebOS lacks some connected services.

The LG C7 is the best overall TV we've ever tested, but patient shoppers are likely to be rewarded by price drops in the coming months.

  • +

The LG C7 is the best-performing TV we've tested to date. It delivers perfect black levels, wide viewing angles, accurate color and a great bright-room picture. It's compatible with both major HDR formats, and HDR image quality is better than last year.

  • -

It's really expensive, and prices are likely to drop. Other 2017 TVs we haven't yet reviewed might perform even better.

The LG E7 OLED offers the best picture quality and user experience money can buy, but unless you need the slick picture on glass design and premium audio, the less expensive LG C7 OLED makes more sense. Yes.

  • +

Gorgeous design, Excellent user interface, Great out-of-box picture performance, Wide viewing angle, Solid sound quality

  • -

LG C7 performs just as well for far less, Soundbar can’t be removed or tucked away

LG have decided to stick with a very similar look to last year’s E6, which makes sense because it remains one of the best pieces of industrial design...

  • +

Superb blacks and contrast ratio, Fantastic dynamic range, Impressive image accuracy, Great detail just above black, Excellent video processing, Dolby...

  • -

Very minor banding just above black

Unless you have even more money than the typical OLED TV shopper, you should choose the less expensive version of this TV.

  • +

With the exception of other 2017 OLED TVs, the LG E7 outperforms every other TV we've tested. It delivers perfect black levels, wide viewing angles, accurate color and a great bright-room picture. It's compatible with both major HDR formats, and HDR image quality is better than last year.

  • -

It has the same image quality as less expensive LG OLED TVs.

With a narrow border the 65" fits perfectly in our den. The minimalist design with a simple aluminum stand and thin profile make this TV unobtrusive when not on. When the TV is on the picture is absolutely amazing. The blacks are black and the highlights are perfect.

Outstanding picture quality, blacks are equal to the plasma's but with greater depth and resolution of overall picture. I replaced a 58" plasma with the 65C7P. I watch a lot of sports and had seen some reviews that reported some blurring in fast action but I have not experienced any on my LG.

I originally wanted a larger tv, at least 75" however the picture quality of this 65" lg oled tv was so superior to everything else that it made the choice for me. The sound is crisp and clear but lacks bass as most tv's do. I plan on adding a high end sound bar.

Unfortunately many of these models have terrible lip sync issues, which LG has not acknowledged. Do a google search for LG OLED C7 or B7 lip sync problems and you'll see the AV forums are filled with people having problems with the lip sync not working.

The picture is stunning. I don't know about this WebOS but I'm not going to complain because it and streaming will make a great TV for years. The technology of OLED is better than I imagined.

I bought this to replace my 5 year old Samsung Plasma which died and for which parts are no longer available and I am not disappointed. This LG OLED is a fantastic TV. Colors are bright and really pop and the picture is crystal clear. While I was pleased with my Samsung, this LG blows it away.

Had this tv for a few months and I can say that the picture quality is the best of any current TV which is to be expected with OLED. Additionally the TV has a lot of features and the built in apps work really well.

My husband and I have been pondering getting a new TV for a while since our older flat screen TV started to get lines. I did a lot of research on the newest technology, and we looked at new models everytime we went to a store that sells TVs.We purchased the 65 inch OLED LG Smart Television.
