Regarding picture brightness and contrast:LG suggests this model is well-suited to throwing a 100-inch image. In a dark room it can even go bigger and still look good depending on your chosen screen (avoid high gain screens). For our room an 80-inch picture is ideal for the available space.
If you ever wanted to watch sports or a movie on a really large screen at home you will understand the attraction of this compact, high quality LG projector. No need for a ceiling mount with a bunch of wires running to it, and no need for a real noisy fan.
Lighting in the room is an issue with projectors. If you must have some light in your room then the picture's contrast and color will always be less than ideal. Projectors have always struck me as rather useless in the living room or den where we normally watch TV and movies.
I spent months trying to figure out what kind of projector I wanted to put in my house. After tons of research I decided that a short throw projector was the way to go considering I didn't want to have tons of wires everywhere in addition to having vaulted ceilings just created a slew of logistical...
Unbelievable pic quality. Bright vivid colors, quite operation. The only nit pick I have is the very slow interface for webOS. The apps work fine, but the setting menu ETC are a throw back in technology. Latency is an understatement. I pair it with a 100' SilverScreen.
Simply put, the brightness is weak. It's awful. But...you know that if you look at the fact it's 1000 lumens. Use it in a dark room, it's awesome.
Honestly this projector is okay with decent quality with right screen, the black diamond screen innovations didn't work out with this projector, the features was 7/10 seems like it's going to get better as the models come out, but for now I return this item because for 1000 you can get a way better...
Very good product as long as you got a dark enough room.
WOW! the best short throw projector made!!!!
This is a great projector! I upgraded to this after having the optoma 1080gt short throw and i love this projector a lot more! But before you buy it there are a few things you should know.
Pleased with the quality of the projector but disappointed that it wasn't exactly as advertised. It didn't come with smart remote and doesn't have smart programming as I expected. adverts for this product should be more transparent for those customers buying it in the uk.
I bought this projector mainly to watch the TV channels on a big projection screen it works really well, all you have to do is plug in your TV aerial and you're good to go the picture quality is very good and really good on HD.
