If the largest PC manufacturer had it their way, the Lenovo X270 would become the ultimate mobile companion. In our detailed review, you will find out why there might be better alternatives after all, and why Lenovo should change a few things for the next ThinkPad X2xx.

  • +

comfortable ThinkPad input devices, compact and nice to handle, flexible battery usage thanks to PowerBridge, high number of ports for a compact laptop

  • -

some weaknesses in manufacturing, device heats up under load, cooling fan runs too frequently, darker display than that of predecessor, low color space coverage, difficult maintenance, disappointing battery life

  • +

Legendary build quality, Long-lived, swappable batteries, Grade A display and keyboard

  • -

Expensive, Three pounds instead of two, USB-C but no Thunderbolt 3 port
