The receiver has been great since I got it. Set up of the system was super easy, the UI walks a user through a new set up, and the included Audyssey mic makes the speaker balancing a breeze.

Some of the unit configuration can be tricky using the on screen UI because it will convert to a different sound mode when in the UI and block some options. Easy to over come by using the unit's LCD screen or the phone app.
I bought this a couple of weeks ago from the Plymouth store and received fantastic service from Paul and the team. I had done a lot or prior research and knowing that I was going to team up the new AV receiver to Monitor Audio Bronze 2 and Bronze Centre (purchased at the time) speakers many...
Good sound and features. I use it with a set of Bose Acoustimass 10's. Really good sound production.
I could not fit a 'Full Sized' amp into my shelving unit, so Marantz was really the only real option. I have a large Sony Amp in another room so I am able to compare. There is no reason not to have this compact AMP it has incredible performance.
In setting up the 5.1 sound system one of the channels does not function?? it seems that I will have to return it??Can someone contact me to see if there is a simplefix??
Purchased this AV receiver to replace a Marantz SR7005, thinking this would be a stop-gap purchase until 8K video compliant receivers become available. Very pleasantly surprised - handles movie soundtracks at least as well as the more expensive (but older) SR7005, and the 50 watts per channel is...
I bought the Marantz to upgrade my 10 year old Onkyo AV. I purchased it as my requirements were quite specific - I required 4k capability, a reasonable "narrow" case to fit into an av stand, sufficient hdmi sockets to be future proofed and a radio. Well I got the lot!
I've had many different brands over the years in a dedicated Cinema room. I have had three Marantz NR series since the the first NR1501 came out to go in the living room. The main reason has been the ability to fit in narrow AV racks. Plus they look less brutal in a living room environment.
