Numark built a quality belt driven turntable for mixing and transferring analog music into digital files. A 1/8 inch jack in addition to USB connectivity allows vinyl, cassette, even 8 tracks to be transferred to a computer and edited with their included Audacity software.
I'm using this turntable to transfer my own and parents 33-1/3 and 45 RPM vinyl records into iTunes, then into CD's. So far I've done 4-5 albums and it went well with one exception: the software that comes with the turntable does not transfer the info (I input about the record/album) to iTunes as...
For buyers with 78s, Stanton is worth the extra money. For buyers without 78s, Numark is an excellent value and the better choice, considering its input for cassette players.

Does not play 78rpm records, RCA plugs are not detachable
I bought this product to convert old LP records and make some Compact Discs. I couldn't get the software that came on the included disc to work on my older computer, but downloaded the most recent version of EZ Vinyl Tape Converter and it worked great.
This is a great turntable for transferring records to digital. It doesn't come with a cover which is a concern. Dust and records don't go well together.
This is not a review of the Turntable, it is in answer to a question posed in another review for this product regarding Audacity software on a Mac. The latest version of the software can be freely downloaded from the developer's website.
We use it daily. i added a better cartridge to it, sound amazing hooked up to our bose system. only thing i would complain about is the arm doesn't retract at the end of a side, but that's not a deal breaker.
The Numark TTUSB connects to your computer via USB, and it comes with everything you need right in the box to start transferring your vinyl to your computer. That is about the only reason someone would purchase this turntable because it is not really made for scratching or heavy use.
I use my turntable for about 1 year, this is my first platinum. I bought it for its price / quality ratio.
I made this purchase to obviously try to save some old vinyl records into a digital file. It feels very light but it works fine and does what it says. It may seem time consuming to record but that's the point in wanting to do it. The instructions were easy to follow and to record was simple enough.
