I was really excited to find this unit. It has the classic Onkyo style and great sound, plus phono pre-amp input, A/B speakers, built-in tuner, BUT it also had full internet connectivity - Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, Sirius XM, and Apple Airplay built right in the unit.
Great sound, compact design, phono input, TuneIn, Sirius XM, Pandora, Spotify and more. Also Speaker A+B and iOS/Android remote.
Wi-Fi drops constantly.
What this wifi internet radio receiver brings to the table is a wide variety of music, powerfully presented. In particular I like how it can clone my home internet configueration from my iPad. This makes set up over WiFi easy.
This checked all the boxes of what I wanted: economical, powerful, and had a remote. It has Wifi and Bluetooth and the optical audio input was a bonus.
Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Good Remote Control, Great Sound Quality
doing everything I wanted. playing in 2 rooms the garage and the back patio. get internet radio, pandora, streams my phone and iPod great buy for the price.
This is my first receiver. I purchased this item at a great price point ($300). The receiver connected to a pair of 4 ohm Jamo Classic 4 bookshelf speakers. The receiver sits in the living room and powers the speakers well enough at low to moderate volume levels such that I doubt I will ever test...
I wanted to set up a good, simple, high fidelity bookshelf system. I already purchased a pair of highly-rated Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 45 speakers and wanted a good stereo integrated amp or receiver to go with them (have no interest in home theater as I just wanted to listen to music on...
works well, especially with network. Onkyo remote app (android) is very helpful. Not as sensitive in picking up FM radio stations as I would have liked.
The sound quality is good. You'll need a sub-woofer. The deep bass signals are not sent to the main speakers. I have 80's vintage Bose 301 shelf speakers that LOVE bass - I have to max out the bass knob to get the clean throaty depth that I like.
A great receiver...has an ideal mix of streaming and components capability, all with excellent sound quality. Got it up and running last week and it has passed every bar in performance and operation. Set up was straightforward.
None so far
Very easy to set up and use. It has everything I wanted for my "man cave".
