I've had mine since July 2015 and I've been using it for documentaries, training videos, recording live stage shows... and the only thing that seems to be wrong is that I don't have more of these. I'm seriously considering buying a second to give me 2-camera capabilities when shooting live shows.
I like this camcorder the visuals are grat. I like the manual operation in some situations I had problems using the xavc files. The Vegas pro was the only editor I found that handled the file a. A file converter also handled them.
It drains Batery power much too quickly. Sony customer support is very poor. Their advice to me was to read the book which is not user friendly. When I did speak with someone he said that he had to read the book and call me back which by the way, he never did.The "specialist " admitted that he...
Finally Sony has created the type of small camera I've always wanted. I've used a variety of cameras and always like having a small form factor on hand for certain types of jobs. The frustration has always been either lack of full manual controls (MC-50) or lack of pro features (AX-100).
Excellent all around camera that shoots 4k 20 megapixels,Zeiss lens, good in low light and compact design. It's a winner!
Listen, a dslr won't help you with your family videos You won't be able to keep focus on your kids sports. You'll hate it just like I did! Yes I have tried my the Sony a6300, but it over heated after only 6 minutes! Yes I have used my d810, d500 4k..
I have owned this camera for a year and a half and continue to learn how to maximize this camera with every shoot. It continues to please and impress me! It's biggest strength is the f4 lens on the telephoto side. That's a fairly fast lens when zoomed in, and the bokeh is amazing.
This is a great little camcorder and the quality is astounding. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars are the controls. They are laid out in a very unergonomic way and it's awkward to get to them.
Lou was a great help and the nicest Sony guy I've ever spoken to. I entered the wrong device ID, which I guess a lot of people do, and he made things right with just a few taps of his keyboard. After the upgrade, to my surprise that 4K is now both 60 & 100 Mbps.
This is a fine little camera with some pro features. The images are sharp and clean and the 10-bit depth is amazing for the price. 50mb files 422 recording at 10-bit is fantastic and enables true broadcast imaging.
