I needed an amplifier to power the two speakers I had and listen to streaming audio (Chromecast audio). Works perfectly, and the sound is very clear and powerful.
I set this up and it worked immediately. I use it for private listening next to my home PC. It is attached to a CD player and to my shelf speakers in Stereo. I like the sound, clear and devoid of static.
Easy setup., Great sound for the price.
Incredible that such a feature-rich amplifier at this quality only costs $118! Had everything that I wanted at half the price I'd have been willing to pay. - Wanted a pure stereo audio-only amp+receiver (no video nothing) - Wanted control of two speaker zones A+B - Wanted at least 4 input selections...
I would have brought something high end if money was no object but my neighbors seem to like it just fine or at least they're not complaining.
For the price it's a good deal and sounds good with a pair of nice speakers. I brought it for a house party and everybody thought it sounded great. But maybe that was the High Voltage Rock n Roll rattling the building..
The remote doesn't come with batteries
No phono input...You will have to buy a pre-amp..Unless your turntable has a built in pre-amp...
Took delivery of this little receiver this morning and had it up and running in no time. It's a basic unit so set up is easy. I am using it in my garage with two little Polk bookshelf speakers. At first the sound was a little blah, so I tweaked the bass and treble. Now it sounds great.
Easy set-up, nice full sound, strong FM antenna, good looking
Perfect for audio only devices, used it to replace an older receiver that was a power hog. More than enough inputs, I have a CD player/burner tape deck HD FM Tuner. hooked up to it. Perfect for replacing/using it like the older style receivers, like we used to listen to back in the day.
Easy to operate very handy does a great job
Don't like the AM antenna connection, forces you to use the supplied antenna via a plug-in no options to hook an outdoor am antenna connection, which is a must for me I have so much interference inside my apartment.
I already had a Pro-Ject turntable and a preamp, and I use a Polk Magni-Fi Mini for my TV sound, so I was really looking for a reasonably priced two-channel receiver for playing records. This Sony fit the bill perfectly.
A good basic tuner. Definitely no frills but a very low price for what I got.
A good basic tuner.
Controls on the tuner are minimal. Have to go to the remote for most functions.
Wanted a new receiver that would allow me to plug in my CD player and turntable (I'm just a bit old fashioned). The Sony STR-DH130 is just what I needed. Not a lot of frills or features I don't need and did not want to pay for. Easy to set up - easy to operate.
