I purchased this Yamaha system when my Marantz went out after two years of use ... which replaced a Denon system that went out after three years of use.

I wanted something "high end" (e.g.
All the A/V and HDMI inputs I need, Simple connectivity, Simple set up, Synched with my Logitech Harmony VERY fast, Very good sound
Wish the audio selection showed better on the TV
would not purchase again, have several units (JVC, Denon, Pioneer, etc..) by far this has been the worst. Will not waist any more time buyer beware!!
I love this A660bl it is the best receiver i have ever had grate power Wi-Fi works good all over the house. cant even tell you happy I am with it!!!.
the display on this unit does not show to see if its on master audio or dts all it shows is the system that's hooked up like me it shows directv genie if I put on my bluray player it will show the brand it is and when I put on a movie it will not display if its 5.1 or hdmi master audio or anything ,...
This drives our main home theater. We are hearing sounds in songs and movies that we've never heard before. GREAT surround settings. Super easy to set up.
Ease of set up, Price vs. value, Sound quality
My first move into home theater, and this unit lives up to my expectations. Previously ran stereo TV and components thru my Yamaha A-1000 integrated amp, which I purchased in 1982. After 35 years the A-1000 developed some static in the output, so I found myself in the market for an AVR.
Nice mix of features and sound quality, Pretty easy set up.
Just upgraded from an old 1980's vintage receiver. The Yamaha has more bells and whistles than a fire truck! I'll probably never use half of them, but that's OK because it performs magnificently. I mainly use it for listening to classical music (CDs and vinyls), and also for BluRay movies.
I love this AVR. Amazing capabilities. The issue is learning to set up and use it's capabilities. Manual is 130 pages and I'm only about half way thru it. I'm coming from 1970's technologies and have new TV, AVR, and speaker system to debug all at once and it is a handful.
Easy to install. Easy to get up and running. Looks good when turning on. Sound quality is mind blowing.
excellent sound and power, professional looking
instructions on a cd rom. should be on dvd.
The sales guy (William) was brilliant. I intended just to buy a direct replacement unit but when I explained some problems I was having, he showed me this unit. Its awesome. the connectivity is brilliant with all my HDMI signals now passing through it which means I have been able to scrap HDMI...
hdmi connectivity, auto set up, sound quality, ease of use
app doesnt run on iphone, selecting the input from the remote is not easy
