If you don't need multi-channel movie sound the R-N602 blends a host of input sources along with straightforward operation and great sound. It supports WiFi, bluetooth, USB, as well as conventional phono, line and optical inputs.
I had an older Yamaha receiver and replaced it with this one. I wanted to be able to use Bluetooth and wi-fi to play music. I also wanted built-in internet radio. I could have done all this by adding various components and adapters onto my old Yamaha receiver.
Yamaha did the right thing with this 2 channel receiver, has all the bells and whistles you can think of, and is loaded with power, drives my Q700 with great sound, love it!
I use this amp in a large space so the output can reach high volumes. The amp cannot handle the load and shuts off. When turning it back on it has a "check speaker wires" msg. I replaced all 200 feet of wire with 12ga and added a fan to cool it. That helped but did not cure the issue.
Most offerings are for 5-7 theatre rooms but if you want just a good stereo system this a good choice. Easy to set up internet radio/SXM. Opens up new channels of listening for better sounds than just a phone or computer speakers
Very nice unit. Everything I hoped for. Abt was the only one who had it in stock.
Sounds is okay, base is not that powerful. Although good speakers address the problem. It has serious connectivity problems. Bluetooth often loses connection, plays music with interuptions which requires reconnecting to BT. Same happens with airplay.
Very satisfied with this product. Great sound, good power, nice input options
I purchased this receiver because I found my AV receiver kind of irritating to use and in the end rarely used the AV receiver for better sound with my TV. This receiver is very well-designed.
It sounds fine. But the Bluetooth functionality is very problematic. It has never worked with my computer. I got it to work for a little bit with my iPhone and iPad, but that has now gone away as well.
