I've found Yamaha to be significantly better than anything else below high-end. It's reliable and sounds so good. In comparison, everything else sounds plain, dull and flat. It has warmth. It has soul.
hooked up to the TV, use for listening to CD's, records. would have rated it a 5 but it has poor reception on some of my favorite stations and the antenna was cheap and had to purchase a new one.
Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Good Remote Control, Great Sound Quality
Poor Reception / Weak Antenna
I got this to drive a couple of Infinity bookshelf speakers in my kitchen, and even with this low-end setup, it provides our area with great sounding music.
We use this on a regular basis and couldn't ask for anything better.
Easy to set up, great sound, and has the tape and phono RCA connectors for the old style of recording music.

I really don't know much about stereo equipment but I love the sound of this!
Tuner,CD Player,Tape deck and Turn Table all worked well with KLH Speakers sound.
I bought this receiver to replace my aging Harmon Kardon 3470. I had to adjust to having a little less power going from the HK to this model. What I was seeking however was found. I was looking for more details in the sound, the fidelity and quality of notes and ranges.
Good refined solid sound and sufficient power for apartment dwellers. Also it is a very fine looking piece of gear. Love it...makes all sound great!
That i eventually have to go to bed or work and separate from it.
Specs were as good as my old amp/rec, but the sound is way better than I expected! Separation of the frequencies, clear separation of channels, and the crispness are exceptional! I found new depth in some of my older albums.
Clear, crisp sound.
