Good resolution (HDTV) and relatively good low light capability for the price. The sound recorded is rather good for such small couple of microphone. It does record stereo sound very well and its small size enable the recording the video easy and a small tripod can be used for recording.
Sound quality is excellent and fully adjustable. Video quality is completely adjustable. For the cost they might want to think about including a HDMI to Micro cable that IS required and had to be purchased separately... Overall, very satisfied!
Okay so we will break this down into categories: Video, Audio, then overall Build VIDEO Pros -You can make out an image Cons -Really there is no manual settings to change anything in video -Image can be grainy, blurry and distorted -No image stabilization, so bad rolling shuttered is torsion -Really...
Tiny but efficient.
I enjoyed using this camera for recording live music until I used it with a tripod. The SD card slot is on the bottom of the camera next to the tripod screw hole so when you mount a tripod (in this case a Canon Tripod-3) the SD card and slot are crushed.
Don't waste your time or money on a Zoom product. It took hours of troubleshooting just to get it to record and none of the extra features that we purchased it for never worked. After 7 years we were finally able to leave it and buy something better that actually records.
Video image was way to grainy compared to other cameras in the dark, even with adjustments. Great in well lit areas. Files were often corrupted using best recommended SD car. GREAT concept, I can only image it's been refined in newer models.
Zoom is known for their digital audio recorders. They're good, really good. I've never had the pleasure, but I've heard many in the industry swear by them. I will probably pick one up one of these days since I do a lot of public speaking. However... Their camera is a whole different story.
Sound quality is great, but it's a shame the video quality isn't better. For young musicians who need to submit recordings, even though they say the audio is more important, the poor video for indoor lighting gets distracting.
This indivijul camera isn't worth the price. Wanted to film a matinee but the audio quality orn it is bad
