Mine arrived tax free with free 3 day shipping from NYC in perfectly working with zero dead/stuck pixels and no backlight bleed issues. Took about 10 minutes from opening the box to using on my computer. Seems other are have quality problems, but not here.
Amazing, jaw dropping image quality! Refresh is fast enough for running flight sims and non-twitch master gaming. Comes with 6' DP, DVI-D, HMDI, and VGA (what?) cables, all which are good quality. The high quality and easily adjustable stand itself is worth $100 IMO.
If you need more more that 60 hz to be satisfied, I doubt you would be even reading this; same goes for 25". DVI-D connection supports 2560x1440 but not 1920x1080; the display system will hang if a game/app forces a lower screen res using DVI-D. Not always on sale :-(
I purchased this monitor as my primary monitor. I use this monitor for 30% gaming, 50% web browsing, and 20% for video and photo.I held off on purchasing a 1440p monitor due to concerns on gaming.
Very good Resolution and quality. BUT the speaker is just & only functioning. Do not expect too much. Sounds like phone speaker or sound quality back 50'. cracking music.....
good resolution, almost everything!! good frameless style.
Extremely bad speaker. I am wandering it the speaker is defective.
Absolutely beautiful! This monitor is just big enough that I’m not having to turn my head a lot but it’s not too small either. The picture quality is awesome and the small bezel is nice in my opinion. And having height, tilt, and side to side adjustment is amazing
Stopped working after 4 months. Had to send it in for warranty service to ASUS at MY expense.
The sound quality on this monitor is beyond poor. My sound from my MacBook Pro way surpasses the monitor and the fact that you can't control the volume from your laptop is ridiculous. They should make it easy to disable the monitor so you can just use your laptop.
Monitor worked great for almost exactly six months, after which it would power on but no longer detect signal. ASUS Component Support were nice, but less-than-helpful. I've been an ASUS fan for a long time, so I was surprised -- until I read some other reviews here of similar issues.
Not sure why all the 5-stars reviews. Price wise it's very competitive but the pixels are fuzzy. I have a Macbook Pro and the differences in terms of pixel & colour sharpness are significant when viewing on the Mac retina display vs. on the Asus monitor.
Recently upgraded from a monitor I had used for several years, and the difference was night and day. Beautiful crisp and clear image, a lot of quick settings to change the lighting, brightness, contrast, etc. levels based on what you're doing (gaming, reading, watching a movie, reading in the dark).
I've had one since Nov. 2016. It makes working at home so much more efficient. I use it with a ThinkPad that's 1080 * 1920, and the Asus is so much better than the laptop's screen that I'm thinking of getting a second Asus and not using ThinkPad screen.
