You may not have noticed, but Apple upgraded the MacBook Air in 2017. Specifically, the $999 13-inch notebook got a slightly speedier, 1.8-GHz Core i5 CPU, upgrading from a 1.6-GHz Core i5 processor.
I have treated myself to this new laptop and I am particularly pleased how light weight it is. I would have liked some written instructions with it.
3 weeks in and really pleased with purchase. Replaced a MacBook Pro and loved the light weight of the air. Apple support was amazing when I called them for an email issue. So really pleased.
Very happy with this product as it is straight forward to use & also links up with my iPad & iPhone.
I bought this lap top for my daughter who is just entering 6th form and having used it myself I can certainly say it is great.
Although cheapest in the MacBook lineup, it has all the features you need and is beautifully made. Very light , portable but strong and should take everyday knocks in its stride. Software is iOS Sierra in common with the more expensive models and is packed with other useful programmes.
This is my one another purchase of Apple product, this MacBook is perfect for use on travel or around home, just been abroad for three weeks and this Mac was very useful also easy to handle during travel, I also have desk-top Mac of 27" with 5K displays etc in my office which is also brilliant .
This is a hardworking machine with the accessibility of a MacBook but it's lighter than a MacBook Pro. All in all it feels and performs very well. It's a bit slower than my MacBook Pro (which is admitttedly a higher spec) but it does the job.
