Been using these for years, one of my 10 favorite purchases of all time. Stable enough to track objects when sailing and powerful/stable enough to resolve the rings on Saturn. Only complaint is it eats batteries when it's shut off so i either have to pull the batteries when not in use (which i...
I use this bin mostly for birding and wildlife viewing. We have a lot of open area around here and my old 10 power bins just didn't quite have enough reach. My wife bought the 12x36 is version of these bins and we are extremely happy with them.
I have owned this 15 x 50 IS All-Weather for a number of years. It is fantastic for star-gazing, bird-watching, sightseeing, and a host of other uses. It is on the heavy side but worth it in most situations. I tend not to travel with it, however, if I am pressed for packing space or weight.
Amazing when it locks in while hand held. Bit on the heavy side. I upgraded strap to op/tech system for more comfort. Also added 58mm lens hoods to increase contrast especially when doing astronomy. Also added 62mm lens caps for the lens hoods. 58mm lens caps fit binox without lens hoods.
Ice been using these 15x50's for about 5 years now. I've never owned a better optical platform. Super versatile... From spotting at the range to viewing the moons of jupiter and everything in between. Better than some Swarovski's.
Very clear and gather light nicely. IS works wonders, only draw back is size and weight. would be nice if they came with caps for both ends for the price, not cheap.
I've had these for over ten years and though they're an earlier model, the only difference is you don't have to hold down the button to engage the mechanism on the newer models. Otherwise once I engage them, everything in the sky "slows down".
no matter how great your optics are if you can't hold the binoculars steady you can't see detail. These eliminate most of the shake and really replace a tripod. I have several dozen binoculars from WWI surplus to Leica and Steiner. These obsolete every one of them.
I considered myself to have very steady hands until I used these binoculars. Night and day.Optics are crystal clear, all the adjustments to your eyes that you may need, and the magnification is awesome.Highly recommend.
Like you, I have too many binoculars and each pair has pluses and minuses. The Canon 15x50 IS are a cut above everything I have ever tried. The 15x magnifications get the subject really close and the 50mm objective gathers tremendous light.
