After having tried several 3rd party "El Cheapo" lamps and having them either fail right away or be extremely dim, I felt I just had to bite the bullet and order the more expensive genuine Epson lamp. And what a huge difference! Totally worth it.
this is the 3rd time I have replaced this lamp. Both of the previous lamps lasted just over 1000 hrs despite being rated at 4,000 hrs. (There is a timer in the Epson) I like the projector so I''m committed to this lamp but Epson has to be more honest with the lamp life or do a better job meeting the...
Good brightness, easy to install
Big improvement, didn't realize how much the old bulb deteriorated until this replacement.
Comments about Epson V13H010L49: I have bought multiple replacement bulbs and several of these bulbs have lasted less than 140 hours. I own eight Epson projectors. Sent two of them back and still have trouble getting useful hours of operation from the machines. Frustrated!!
I bought this OEM lamp in Dec 2016 to replace the original lamp. Unfortunately, it has lasted less than 400 hours. The original lamp lasted about 2000 hrs.As others have noted, it is easy to install, but OEM lamps are expensive - and I expected it to last thousands of hours.

Was nice and bright for one night of usage then started getting darker and darker. After bottoming out, it didn't die or anything and it was still usable but not really enjoyable because of how dim it was.
Impressed so far given the price being so reasonable, was sketpical that it might be crap. 60+ Trouble free hours on this bright new bulb, hope it lasts as long as my old $300-400 Epson official bulb which had dimmed quite a bit before going at 2400 hours (in an Epson 8350 on natural mode).
Have been using it for almost 3 months now, there are no issues. The picture is crisp and clear, very happy with the purchase.
I bought it to try a more economical source for lamps and I was really disappointed. I always keep an extra lamp around in case at about 75% so I didn't install this for about 6 months. The lamp was as just as dark was the lamp I replaced. Do not buy from these guys,
