The problem with these type cooktops is if someone drops a can or glass on them they break. The old type just chip. No warrenty for breakage.

Not durable
We have had this cooktop for 2 weeks. It looks nice, yet is very difficult to keep clean. The unit already has 2 nicks that we have no idea how it happened. We have not used it much and have been very careful with this cooktop.

Low quality, Not durable
This is the second time a burner has stuck on high heat with the control knob in the off position. I've had to throw the breaker to get the burner to turn off. I'm going to have to replace the unit so I can sleep at night. My new unit won't be the same brand.
Pros: It looks nice, was affordable, easy to install, works well. Cons: Is hard to keep clean simply because it's black and glass.
