I bought this for an AR I had in the 7.62x39. I found this optic to make the most sense for the money. Great glass. A not too busy, yet functioning, reticle. Not overly heavy either. An absolute great buy. I wish it was a true 1x; however, it’s plenty fine at 1.25x.
Got a chance to mount and sight in my Leupold VX-R on an American Defense mount. The scope is excellent, and the glass is very clear. The scope is a great match to the AR-15 set at a 200 yard zero and works as advertised on low power.
I bought this optic for my 300 Blackout AR and I couldn't be happier with it! It’s a lot of scope for your money. With it having a 30mm main tube, it’s rather light and overall smaller than I thought. Making it GREAT! I mounted it into a Burris PEPR mount.
I received my Leupold 3-9x40 VX-R Patrol from the Sample List yesterday. I was curious how well it would stack up against my Mark 4 6.5-20. The reticle hash marks aren't quite as clear as the higher priced scope, but for a mid-range rifle that will be used for hunting and target shooting inside 60 0...
This is by far one of the best scopes Leupolds put out as of recent. The VXR line is well thought out and glass is very nice. The scope tracks true and the illumination is very well executed.
The optics on this scope are incredible light grabbers. The TMR reticle works well at close range and even better at mid to long range. The TMR Reticle allows the operator to range a target out to 1000 meters for those longer shots.
What a scope, in Aussie we hunt harsh alpine conditions with lightest weight rifles, sometimes in poor light. We hunt wild boar, deer and varmint. Hard to beat this scope on a light mountain rifle, awesome light gathering for a 33 and good mnagnification for a 2-7...GET ONE and see.
I have had no problems with their scope. It's simple to in every way... Mounting, zeroing, etc. the fire dot is great. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life. But I leave it off most the time anyway.

Great clarity and light transmission. Excellent for short range target acquisition. Only downside I can point out is the cost of the Alumina scope covers that Leupold offers and all I could find to protect the scope. The FireDot is a winner.
I liked the fire dot reticle concept. Gives you a better focal point when aiming. I like how you can adjust the brightness of the dot or make it an intermittent flash. The bad about this scope is the design for the battery.
Super clear optics. Can uses this scope for close up rapid shooting both eyes open. Do like the Firedot Circle system. Have shot it out to 100 yds and as weather improves will try 200 to 300. Bought this as a demo. Scope arrived looking like new. Will be used on AR15.
I purchased Leupold VX-R 1.25-4x20mm Matte Riflescope, FireDot Pig Plex Reticle 113165 for my 458 socom. Great eye relief. Awesome clarity. No sure if Leupold pre-zero the scope or me being lucky. The scope is pretty close to zero out of the box.
As usual, excellent Leupold optics and build quality. The 1.25x magnification is very handy, you can use it like a red dot. Scope and rings are more expensive than the the CZ 455 it is attached to but quality has its price.

I bought this scope for my NFA SBR AR-15 and it lives up to what I expect from Leupold. Optics are clear and eyebox is generous. This scope would be equally well suited to a dangerous game rifle.

would prefer a rotating bezel in conjunction with the button for power setting
Excellent quality product. Would be nice if it came with scope leveler. Caps or protection of some basic sort would seem warranted. Pricey, but worth it. Great eye relief. Windage and elevation adjusters hang out quite a bit. Overall nice feel.
Purchased this with the Pig Plex for my 300 BLK AR and LOVE it! Great glass for the $$. Super easy to operate and the illuminated red not has multiple settings which is wonderful and crisp at different light levels.
Absolutely no issues, as yet. But then, I have never had any issues with Leupold optics! Have only zeroed it on one rifle so far. First impressions are excellent. The horizontal and vertical adjustments are "exact," and do not conflict with each other - as might be experienced with other brands.
