I bought this tripod mainly just to support my slider rig. I love it so much though that I end up using it for everything unless I am going somewhere that it would be too big. The stability it provides makes you really confident your shots will be steady and safe.
GREAT Tripod. It is BIG.. however, very light for it's size, but obviously still not a tripod for backpacking. Very reasonably priced for what it is. It's much cheaper to get this than to slowly buy bigger tripods.. if you are on the fence, get this one.
Using this set of carbon fiber sticks along with the Manfrotto 504 head. I've had Sacthler, Miller, and Vinten systems, and there are tradeoffs/pluses with most of them. At the price point, this system seems to work well for me.
This tripod is versatile as it can take 75mm and 100mm ball mount fluid heads. I purchased this to use with my Sachtler DV 10 SB fluid Head for lightwieght run and gun set ups instead of the heavier Sachtler Double Leg Carbon Fiber Tripod (100ENG 2CF) that I already own.
This tripod leg is very light and sturdy. It helps me to carry a tripod much easier. One thing I like this leg better than a Miller one is that this leg comes with 75mm adapter additionally. As you know, this leg can go as low as 10 and as high as 80. You don't need a high-hat or a baby leg anymore.
Super sturdy yet light with a huge height range, 11 to 7. Used for Lidar surveying. Also purchased a 100mm ball level adaptor to go with it that strangely has no bubble level. Oh well, not the tripods fault.
I have been using Manfrotto for almost 20 years. I never leave reviews, but felt compelled to do so in this case. Went through two Manfrotto legs. Both cases the legs buckled with weight load of 9 pounds. I had two cameras drop because of faulty legs buckling.
I am using it in tandem with Cartoni Focus 12 Fluid Head (100 mm). There are 3 stages in this tripod. I am mostly unfurling the first 2 of them; Together with the fluid head, I see my camera monitor right in front of my eyes, myself being 6'2.
These were my first real sticks, after using so many budget tripods. This tripod puts them all to shame. It's solid, tall, easy to adjust, relatively light, durable (so far!), and even looks good. I honestly don't know how to improve on them.
EXCELLENT! Light weight and really good height range. I use this mostly with a Cartoni fluid video head and my video cameras.
