The OM-D E-M10 Mark II is another solid mirrorless camera from Olympus thanks to 5-axis stabilization and a great EVF, but it's missing 4K video.

  • +

Compact, but comfortable to use. Large, sharp EVF. Tilting touch-screen display. 8.6fps continuous shooting. Built-in flash. 5-axis stabilization system. Wi-Fi.

  • -

Accurate tracking requires slower burst rate. Wacky power switch. No mic input.

Other features of note in the E-M10 Mark II include the ability to shoot at up to 8.5 frames per second (up from 8fps) when the focus and metering is set at the start of the sequence, 4fps shooting with continuous autofocusing and metering, an electronic shutter that allows shutter speeds of up to...

  • +

Small size, Excellent EVF, Versatile and lots of customisation options

  • -

Comparatively small sensor, 4K timelapse at 5fps playback, Tilting rather than vari-angle screen

The Olympus OM-D series of Micro Four Thirds ILCs has a new entry-level model for 2015. The E-M10 Mark II shares only a few specifications from its predecessor -- a 16MP image sensor, 1/4000-60 shutter speed range, and 3.0-inch tilting display -- while overall promising to be smaller, lighter,...

  • +

Great overall image quality in iAuto and Program shooting modes for a consumer model, iAuto produces a higher contrast, bolder image, Dedicated Video Capture Button is always ready to record Full 1080p videos, 5-Axis image stabilization is the best that we have used on an ILC, Both EVF and LCD are...

  • -

Flash pop-up could accidentally turn off camera, No Audio input, Higher levels of noise in the higher ISO settings than we'd like to see

The OM-D E-M10 Mark II (E-M10 II in the following text) is the second generation of the Olympus entry level E-M system line. The first E-M10, introduced in January 2014, was a very small and compact camera with SLR design elements.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II review: an update for the budget friendly OM-D E-M10 arrives in style. Our head of testing put it through its paces. Rather than being a complete overhaul of the existing model, the new Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II builds on the success of the original version.

The EM10 ii is such a great camera I have barely touched the GX8 since its arrival, 2-3 weeks ago. Ever since the original EM-5 I really wanted Olympus to produce a mkii which was a refinement of the EM-5 with better video and AF.
