I got this to record music and theater performances, and its the perfect tool for the job.The sound quality is great, and It gives an outstanding stereo separation. It really makes my recordings sound like I know what I am doing.
This microphone is more professional than i am. The first use, I can hear noticeable better clarity then the Azden mic I have been using. Don't get me wrong, for the money the Azden mic is great, and I still use it.
Only got it last week and have run it through a few test sessions. Some indoors and today used it outdoors to capture acoustic guitar and vocals. Very clean sound. Balanced. Seems to be not quite as sensitive as I thought it might be (needs a little more gain from the SD702) but sounds good.
I use my NT4 for nature recordings. The NT4 works well in the field and when combined with the blimp system; a hard to beat combo. Does an excellent job of picking up distant birds and wildlife, with an amazing job when the birds are closer in. - Be warned, it is heavy; read the specs.
I used two of these mics for a concert. I set one high above the choir and another one high in the back of the room, for ambient audio. I used them with a Zoom H6 and they worked great. I felt it captured a pretty full sound, though my clients asked for a bit more low end in editing.
Good looking mic with excellent sound quality
Easy to position and use. Recorded an acoustic guitar perfectly. Likewise a choir.
Used for field/outside recording, this is a nice stereo microhpone for a middle cost. Phantom 24V is very useful.
Works well. Sounds great. Heavier than you think (weight-wise). Looking forward to using this one for years.
This has to be one of the better mics I've come across at the mid price point that gets you professional results in the field. This mic is fantastic at recording true stereo (Left right and you also hear what's going through from one to the other, through the centre field too!
