Considering you’ve got to carry the power supply around with you, I wouldn’t consider it very portable, but then again I don’t think it’s supposed to be, if you want portable then you should look at the BlackArmor PS 110.

Although the speed of external USB hard drives are a bit slow due to the limitations of USB, having 750 gigs of backup space is simply awesome. Transporting an external device such as this one that requires a power supply and cables can be a bit clumsy, but it's nice to know that any Windows 2000/XP...

Thanks to the RAID 0 configuration, the Seagate Fast drive blazes past the other external drives we have tested in the past. As seen in the charts above, it manages to cross the 200MB/s barrier for sequential transfers with ease.

As you have seen above, the Seagate Backup Plus drive performs better than other competing drives which we have tested in the past. At an MRP of Rs 6,000, the Seagate Backup Plus drives comes at a cost per GB of Rs 6.44.

I got it very reasonable , being a refurb. but I rarely have trouble with refurbs I get, trick is to get one early, those seem to be the best. I have a desk top with a one quarter indent on the top that seems to be made exactly for these ext hdds. It fits like a glove.

  This one looks like it will not get hot, there are many tiny holes all around the sides. It is Quiet too. It is light, It has a 3 foot cord.

  It is a refurb, so it will have to stand the test of time. It has a thin red activity light on the top large area. and I cannot see it blinking , even at night, unless I stand up and look right at it.

I did lots of research on this, and this was the drive to get! It's one of the fastest external drives around, near SSD speeds, portable, 1 cable, and a good 3 yr warranty! It's also silent!

Excellente product.

Easy to set up, can even back up cell phone data.

This was sold as an external back-up hard drive. Instead, the default setting try to back up data to the cloud, even when using the external hard drive. Even our IT department could not get it to work properly after visiting the website. Poor programing.

Just plug it in and use it, never give it another thought.

1. Good, good & good. 2. Very confused if hard disk is white then why data cable is black. Mismatch ? 3. Use it for 3 hrs non-stop & started heating. All new hard disks are getting heated so that is ok i guess. 4. Price is ok, cloud storage is worthless, it is for 2 years only. Why ?

I have purchased and using last 2 months. Nice product and will suggest who need ext HD. 200 GB cloud storage is there.
