The mic and its clip are not great, but you can buy another lavalier (e.g. Tram) and have a very solid kit. You can also buy a CL-2 which enables you to take the output of a professional mixer and wirelessly transmit it to your camera-mounted receiver. Very handy.
The first time I used it was shooting "The diary of Anne Frank" and had trouble getting good audio since they didn't mike the stage. The second night I used the mic by just setting on the stage out af the way and it sounds great. I have been using another set for about a year. I love these mics!
So far so good! Easy to use with a high quality sound.Thank you!
My first lav mic set. Hooked into Ursa Mini Pro for interview and and unit sounded great. Easy to setup as mine was already configured out the box. Very nice build quality as well. Only gripe is wind filter is very large.
Nice voice quality from the system with this mic. The mic is, as has been mentioned, large. Perhaps it results in better sound capture, but I'll let others quantify. The mic doesn't exhibit friction noise from rubbing/touching, which is one good thing.
With other wireless systems, I had to get the delicate mic and BNC connector fixed every trip. That costs about $60 every time. But this model had truly stood up after 4.5 years of moderate to heavy duty use in 5 different countries, undergoes 32 different plane trips, packaging and countless...
Lots of channels and works well in a crowded rf enviroment
This microphone system is one of the best in the industry. The clarity and performance is amazing.A definite must for your own inventory.
I've been wanting one of these wireless mics for 2 years. Finally have a business reason to purchase. I tried it out from my house to a neighbors house through my Sony AX-2000 camera at about 100'. Clear as crystal recording. The only complaint is the connection of the mic wire to the lapel clip.
We were shooting video inside of an office building with new FM wireless mics from another vendor. They were about $ but there was a lot of interference. We switched to the Sennheiser mics and we had high quality sound. More expensive, but worth it in sound quality.
