The Sigma 2x EX DG Tele Converter review is planned.
I was hesitant to purchase this teleconverter to use with my Sigma 50-150 telephoto lens for my Nikon D7000 because of all the comments and answers to my question "if it was compatible with my lens and camera." I contacted Sigma and they said it would work with no problems.
A very good converter. The construction is top notch, I like the Sigma finish. On my Sigma 70-200/2.8 w/1-Series cameras this and the 1.4x do an Excellent job. In bright light the AF is still snappy. In lower light the AF does slow down. I am quite pleased with the IQ I got with these combos.

losing two stops
Great product. I used it to add some power to one of my lenses for photographing the eclipse, and it performed great. Nice sharp images. There is a 2 f-stop loss, but I was using a f2.8 lens, so it really wasn't a drawback. As with other Sigma products, I have not been disappointed.
Works perfectly with my sigma 50-500mm lens....the lens has a "converter" lock at 100mm. Sharp images and about two stops less light, but now I am right on top of my subject. Good purchase.
Fits nicely with the Sigma 70-200 lens. Does what I expected it to do. I recommend this accessory for added length to your lens.
I returned the first one because it was "grinding" as I was putting on my body. Next one came around a couple of weeks later and works great. I've only used it with sigma lenses and the autofocus and metering are not an issue.
Have not really used itmuch
