This is one amazing piece of equipment, very versatile, lightweight and ajustable, even with my DLSR with my 70-200 it's very sturdy for a mono/tri-pod.
I'm using this to support a Canon 2.8 400m lens (12lbs.). So far so good. I also like the height as I am 6'2" and it can go over what I need.
Lightweight but Sturdy, very well built and tall enough for a 6'4" photographer even on uneven terrain; highly recommend it
Awesome monopod for video!
This is my second purchase from Sirui and it does not disappoint me. I used to think that Gitzo was always the best, but now Sirui is a serious competitor at a more affordable price point. The material is solid, the joints are strong, leg movement is smooth.
After the monopod was extended, it was stuck and would not close. Cannot say how it worked because I could not use it.
This is a great little Monopod. It's small, lightweight, and strong. What more could you want from a monopod? Also it is tall enough to be higher than eye-height for me and I am 6'3".I purchased it because I was tired of lugging my old giant aluminum monopod around Manhattan.
This product performs exactly as it claims and is an incredible value for the price. The quick locks are easy to use without any wasted effort, the height range is great, the threading accepts cameras directly or a head, and the foam padding doesn't feel loose or cheap.
I use this monopod for photography at locations that prohibit the use of tripods; shoots where I need stability but also the flexibility to move around a lot, and shoots where I need to be less visible.
I routinely use a Monopod with a 1D MkIV mounting a 300mm f/2.8 for soccer, football, baseball. Just changed over to this carbon fiber lightweight when my aluminum one got bent in a fall during football last year. It's shorter by two inches, but unless you're 6.9 or over, it will work just fine.
