Compared to its peers, the RX10 III is the best all-around bridge camera on the market. The 1"-type stacked CMOS sensor offers the same (that is, very good) performance as its predecessor, while the new lens reaches from a wide angle of 24mm all the way to 600mm without any real optical compromises.
The Sony RX10 III was purchased as an All-In-One Travel solution and, for that, it excels. Having an immense 24-600mm focal range without having to use multiple lenses just eliminates all the hassle and covers you for most scenarios.

It Is Expensive
I bought this a couple of weeks ago to take with me on my trip to Holland and travelling due to its 24-600mm lens. I've used it a bit before to get some practice. So far so good! Has all the manual controls of a DSLR and I don't need to worry about lots of different lenses!
Great camera but menu complicated and battery life, even when camera turned off is dreadful.
Still evaluating after 2 weeks. Menu system takes a bit of getting used to. Picture quality is above average for this sort of camera - quality on full 600mm zoom not as good as dedicated dslr lens cameras. Spare batteries very difficult to get hold of. Motor zoom a bit slow.
Delighted with results & still exploring all the features of this camera.
