Hi, I could not find how to edit my earlier review. After extensive testing, I still liked the sound quality and the performance with condenser mics using phantom power on the plugin transmitter.

The battery cases have plastic catches. I've broken several and have $17 replacements on the way. There are two different cases. BATC-2AA and BATC-3AA. You can modify the 2AA with some sand paper and save a few bucks.

So far, a very nice wireless. Some people complained about a dynamic handheld mic not working well with the plug-on transmitter. I don't know if Sony fixed it, but I haven't experienced that issue. Range isn't quite as good as I had hoped, and when it gets interference, the sound drops out.

Been waiting on wireless mic to help with corporate productions. This system was fairly easy to set up and use. We've been able to upgrade our productions because of the new freedom we now have. No longer limited to wherever we can "plug in" to an electrical outlet.

The battery not even last for 3 hour, had to change 2 times during wedding footage. So the older version it way much better. UTX-P1 is the BEST one from Sony.

Nice devices. A little difficult to get three of them tuned and synced at first but once that was done, they performed flawlessly.

We have about 12 pairs of the older version, that we have simply worn out over the past few years. The new version has an easier to read display, with more user controls. Especially noteworthy is the 48v system on the mic plug.
