The Xerox WorkCentre 6505DN covers workgroup needs competently in many ways, which makes its high toner costs and other shortcomings all the more disappointing. If you need a printer that manages decent photo quality, however, this model is a better choice for the price than the Oki MC561.

Great quality color printing. Lots of features handy for a SOHO. Easy to setup. Good price.

Simple Scan in Ubuntu will not recognize the scanner. Neither will xsane. This is a real downer. This printer would have been perfect for our use if it would only allow desktop scanning in linux.
