Yamaha YHT-4920UBL 5.1-Channel Home Theater in a Box System

The receiver seems too powerful for the speakers. Surround sound, even at optimal level, causes the speakers to give popping sounds. But then again, this is Yamaha. Yamaha provides affordable packages. Like a guitar and an amp. But in this case, the speakers basically suck.

We bought this for our theatre room in our basement. So far so good! sound is great and we can easily connect our x box and fire stick to the receiver to send it to our projector. Only negatives are that we can not hook up older game systems to this, only systems with HDMI.

Terrific unit for the money. Everything works very well, clarity is on par or better than similar systems. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the lack of a pass-thru option; system must be on if you want to watch TV and have the cable run through it. Otherwise very happy with it.

I really liked this home theater. It was the first one I bought and I am a beginner in this area. There was a tremendous improvement from my Sony TV sound to this when watching movies. The installation was not hard and instruction are sufficient.

Great Sound, clear, crisp & great bass even at very low volume. Great sound that i couldn't dare to take volume to 100 and check. Turns On/Off with my TV, turns on my TV when I play bluray. Bluetooth works seemless with iPhone.. Overall a great product.

Sounded great for about a month, then the reciever completely quit & the repair would have been approaching the cost of an entire new one. This yamaha system was certainly not near the quality of my previous system but it also wasnt a $1000 one so i guess I got what I payed for or less really...

This product was purchased in 2015 and I have had issues with it the entire time I've owned it. It continuously shuts down due to power issues. I purchased the warranty plan as well and they fixed it a few times and it would do the exact same problems immediately afterwards.

When we turn the power off it comes back on and it takes several times to get it to stay off. Sound isn’t as good as I expected for a Yamaha either.

Bought this item.. 6 months ago.. Saved for my new house that was build.. I hook the system up 1 weeks didnt even used fully yet just testing.. And one of the speaker is already shut.. And the receiver keeps shutting down.. And give me a message saying check sp power.....
