Sometimes an old fashioned recipe and the latest modern technology don’t mix: zap-blasting your grandmother’s vegetable soup ingredients in a 10,000-watt microwave instead of slowly simmering them for six hours, for example. But other times strange bedfellows bring out the best in each other.
Overall, I would say this is a great lens… for specific purposes. You should get it only if you want a specific style of shot. I think it’s a great item to keep in the camera bag, but you should only pull it out when you really need it.
The original composer really got me excited about photography again. I had a Canon 5D MkII and was doing more video than photography at the time. I had one gray day outdoors with a couple willing models shooting scenes for music video and some stills.
Was in a sort of photography ruy until I purchased this lens. It's a fun lens to use when you want to make something ordinary interesting.
Light meter issuesCould be difficult to focus if you don't understand this opticNot very sharp even with pro lighting setupCan create nice bokeh and interesting look
