I am a professional musician, Prior to this I was using an AT4047/SV and prior to that an AT2035. The 4047 is a 700 dollar microphone and the 2035 is around 250.. When I tried this mic for the first time I bought it on the spot and I prefer it WAY more than my 4047/SV..
The 214 is such an amazing and clear sounding condenser! First session I used it on EVERYTHING and it absolutely rocked it. Acoustic guitar, vocals, drum overheads, and room tone, this mic can handle just about anything.

great sound, super clear
I've had this microphone for the past month and it has been my main mic for tracking vocals. It has a great tonal quality to it and when coupled with my UA 710 micpre I'm able to track solid vocals.
I use this mic at work (I do voice-overs) and just love it. It's got a warm, crisp sound, with very low noise. I find, with the right placement, I do very little post-production touch-ups - a bit of EQ (but that's because of my VOICE, not the mic), and slight compression.
I'm loving the playback it's giving me. Great quality just like the guy said.
I previously used the "Blue Yeti Pro" for recording for the past year and a half, and after using the AKG C0214 for the first time, I was blown out of the water on the sound quality difference!! Absolutely a great purchase!!
Very great quality condenser mic and I love it. It sound clean, crisp, dry, and very easy to edit
For the money this mic is a great addition to every home studio. I have been very pleased with the sound on both slower and hard rock applications.
fantastic all around mic, perfect for pop to rock to rap
best sounding silky smooth mic i own on my deeper voice and guitars
