Reliable and inexpensive, the AKG K92 is designed to inspire those at home itching to start recording to do so, while EDM musicians can also make use of them. Our review shows just what you can expect from the enticing K92 and what its modest budget might mean in terms of compromises.
AKG has struck gold – the K92s might just be the best value headphones we've heard in years Smooth, enjoyable sound Plenty of detail, clarity and fluid dynamics Great rhythmic ability Good, comfortable build Excellent value Nothing at this price
They may not feel like a premium pair of cans, but the sound quality of the K92s more than make up for their plastic exterior. Still a sound investment from AKG several years on.

Ath-ar3 information couldn't find the ar3 placard when navigating head fi so I'll post it here, for the sake of well, information and though am not a noob in audio recollection but for the exact opposite reason I'll be posting incompletely and in a very limited potential.

Professionally eye pleasing and felt it, for me, initially. As any headphone it provides a new sound., Inexpensive, 10 foot cable (3 meters), Sounds great on EDM and modern recordings., Very comfortable

comfort, unprofessional sound., Not great on all recordings, Captive cable
I have been thinking about buying this product at full price. When the new years sale hit and they marked it down for %50 off I couldn't resist and I am glad I didn't. The ONLY thing that worries me about them is that they feel as though they are too lightweight.
Well I only use them for listening at the moment and I can't believe how great they sound. I think they sound better than the K240s and much more comfortable and private. I have listened to all kinds of music with them rock, rap, hip-hop country u name it they heard it and it just gets better.
+ Fairly balanced sound level Doesn't squeeze the head, neither at ear level nor above the head Lightweight overall Good comfort during prolonged use. - Bass not too prominent Noise isolation not very present Neutral : The wire is very / too big, it will depend on its use, but outdoors it is rather...
AKG is a leader in the headphone and studio gear world, and these really cool closed –back studio headphones will work in the studio while listening to your professional audio recordings and mixes!
Great pair of headphones with good sound and pretty good noise cancellation. Cable was longer than I expected but turns out to be a great length.
Cheap, VERY comfortable, and despite *strong* bass, it's not overpowering. I bought these to use while gaming and as a second reference while mixing music. The bass is strong and definitely forward, but not overpowering. It's pleasing to the ear.
Great if you like bass and hi-hats, but the mid-range is weak. They made my Yamaha digital piano, on the Grand Piano voice, sound like a pub honky-tonk piano. For mixing, even at amateur level, and for general listening, the overwhelming bass and thin sound are a problem.
I’m happy with my new headphones. Sound quality and accuracy is superb. They are perhaps the best studio monitors I’ve had. They are lightweight, though not as comfortable as I had hoped for.
The sound is good enough for my needs, the headphones are very nice and light. I am happy with this purchase.
