With authoritative, super-accurate coverage of the sRGB digital space, a brilliant 402 nit screen, some HDR toning, and even an adaptive-sync feature, this is a super-powered monitor for digital design.

Not the best in DCI-P3 or AdobeRGB color spaces, Some issues with motion graphics and ghosting in-game settings
It's easy to be a gamer and wonder what the point of a 27" 4K @ 60 Hz monitor is. But stop and think for a moment how much hardware you need to get past 60 FPS at 4K. It's ridiculous amounts.
The Asus ProArt PA279CV offers great mainstream image quality, a high resolution and loads of versatility for a good price, so it’s a solid option for mainstream creative work. But you’ll need to spend more if your workflow demands high-end ability, like HDR or Adobe RGB prowess

Superb sRGB colour and contrast, Loads of adjustment options, Good selection of ports, Relatively cheap for a professional display, You want a good-quality pro display for mainstream tasks : The Asus nails the sRGB gamut and has a versatile design, so it’s ideal for photo, video and creative work in...

No real Adobe RGB ability, Some uniformity issues, Not bright enough for HDR, You need HDR or Adobe RGB ability : The affordable Asus doesn’t have the brightness, nuance or colour depth for broader gamuts. If you need that you’ll need to spend more.
The ASUS PA279CV ProArt display covers wide viewing angles and is mostly very colour accurate. The OSD is easy to navigate and adjust and you can tweak the monitor output in a number of useful ways.
Great monitor! Insanely color accurate. However, its USB-C connectivity requires a firmware update for stability out of the box and its DisplayPort is limited to DP 1.2, which does not support HDR. So, to use the display to its fullest, you need to use an HDMI input.
I bought this monitor for image viewing and editing. It is performing beyond my expectations. The color accuracy is excellent based on my test images. The 10-bit color shines when viewing 16-bit TIFF images. It is also very good with the 4K videos that I have viewed.
It's a great monitor for creators, once you get it updated and color corrected. It's a little technical to setup for the Mac and will need a firmware update for it to work with USB-C.Once updated and setup it's a great monitor to use.
The monitor works well with my MacBook Air M1. I use a HDMI adapter from Satechi and I have had no issues with it. I do not use the monitor's vertical mode but I might one day. I did try it out and it does work flawlessly.
My wife and I had purchased this monitor for her photography editing, and we have been very impressed with it. She has been able to edit photos to a finer detail and more efficiently!
Challenges with Adobe Products - Otherwise an Excellent Monitor
Love it great monitor for the price, works well with Adobe
Large High Resolution monitor. Spectacular colors. Lots of inputs to choose from. Asus quality as always is the best.
SoI just purchased this and thought I'd share my findings. I'm glad I didn't read to many reviews as I think it would like have caused me to just drop the 1599 on an Apple Studio display without giving this a shot. So here is what I've found so far.
Garbage internal sub-systems! Unstable USB-C support, HORRIBLE firmware update procedure which by the way never worked for me (I have 45+ years of computer experience, trust me on this0 and the MANUAL shows SEVEN buttons instead of the 6 that's actually on this monitor!!!!
