The speaker has remarkable acoustics for something so small and inexpensive. Sure it isn't a set of stereo computer speakers but nice for using on the go such as in your hotel room etc. Good value overall.

noticeably louder than iPhone 4 and 4s... I've used it in a small church classroom (ie: 12'x16') and it works well in that scenario.

For those who have complained about the sound and volume, you have to know what you are buying. This thing is pretty tiny. It's between the size of a golf ball and a tennis ball. So expecting studio monitor sound and volume isn't realistic.
The Bump worked great with my phone and ipod. The sound quality is okay.. lacks bass... but I use it more for talk radio format. The Bump was a great price... overall I like it.

Seemed a bit buggy at first but works well after you figure it out. Loses charge quickly so I keep it plugged in. Cords are short.
This unit works well as a bluetooth speaker with either iphone or ipad although as with other small speakers, the bass response is a bit lacking.

this little speaker actually works extremely well for the size and price. i would definitely recommend this to people who just want a simple, small, portable speaker
While the sound from this speaker is loud, there is not much bass to it and comes off a little "tinny". The sound also gets distorted at high volumes. The bluetooth connection was easy to setup and the battery seems to last a good 5-7 hours.
