Audio-technica ATH-E50 E-Series Professional In-Ear Monitor Headphones

New to the earphone scene and freshly arrived at my review desk, the ATH-E50 is priced at $199. Like other models in the E series, this one doesn’t feature a mic and remote, but does promise impressive audio. So how well does it deliver on that promise?

Had to see the manual to learn how to place them in my ears ;-)Perfect fit with the different sized plugs. Once I got the right fit, I was totally won for these headphones!Must-have!

I use these with my band using a wireless iem system and to be perfectly honest I was extremely disappointed. They distorted the sound of an acoustic guitar to the point that it was unpleasant sounding.

I think these IEM's would be really good IF they fit-however they do not!-The largest ear piece is about half the size of the large foam Shure ear pieces I have always used. Without a good seal in your ear all you get is highs and mids-absolutely zero bottom end.
