There aren’t too many high-end dynamic driver headphones that are particularly suitable for on-the-go use. Audio-Technica may have intended to fill this niche with the release of the AP2000Ti. But those were an expensive set of cans for a daily commute. And they were also on the larger side.
Everyone understands the theoretical benefits of wired headphones, but not everyone is convinced they’re worth the aggravation. And in some ways, it’s true – the ATH-WP900 are more of a faff than their wireless counterparts.

ATH-WP900 Portable Masters A bit about me. I am not a reviewer but just another fellow audiophile sharing my thoughts on gear. I always buy my gear and therefore there are no “favours”, affiliations or any other influence to my reviews. the sound I am looking after and like is on the warm side.

No case, Not very open (well are close back), Soundstage not very wide
I travel a lot so these headphones are perfect. They are small and light. I'm really impressed by the sound quality of these headphones however I do wish they isolated sound a bit better. I would give this a 9/10!
Perfect sound for my taste. Rich bass, crisp trebles, detailed mids. Tried out many styles of music in my collection, and all were good. The Maple shells are beautiful to look at. The whole package is understated, and the performance excellent. Comes with a 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced cable.
I love these headphones! They look great and sound amazing. I guess I'm a rookie when it comes to higher end audio equipment. I was afraid that they wouldn't be worth spending so much money on but they definitely delivered.

Bass
These are remarkable headphones. The top end is ever so slightly astringent for me, but that is easily fixed with a bit of equalization. Otherwise the tone is generous, warm, inviting. They seem to have a V shaped response curve, but it is subtle and highly enjoyable. Detail is terrific and musical.
A truly great pair of headphones that have a rich and vibrant sound signature. Deep bass and detailed clear mids and highs are seen here and are my go to pair when I am on the go and need something more than what Bluetooth can provide.
These are the Best headphones I have heard in the $500-$800 range.I tried so many phones and picked these. Why? Every other set of headphones was missing somethingin the range of sound. So many sound muffled on the high end, or no bass and cant well hear drums except for snareand symbols.

These have it all and unbelievably dispersive sound for closed backs. Nothing is too prominent nor missing in the range of sound. Bass is the most real even on each drum usually unheard. All the clarity with musical feel. And Very light.

Nothing at all !
Matched to a Sony nw507 has been the headphones only use so far, great soundLarge enough to be comfortable over ears, small enough to be some what portable with s very nice finish. Great product
Far better than they have any right to be. Very addictive sound signature. Definitely V-shaped, but not offensively so. Finish of the headphones themselves is beautiful. Included cables feel pretty average but do the job just fine.
fantastic!
