Excellent sound, easy to change stylus and or cartridge, audiophile quality and sound, very good entry level stylus and cartridge. A little difficult to set up but well worth the time to correctly set up. Like the fact that you don't need a mat but can use a mat if you prefer.

    Durability, Sound, Stylus replacement

  • -

A little difficult to set up, Would like a hydrolic type lift lever that slow

After a lot of research, I'm glad I chose the AT-LP7. It's well built and exudes quality. It sounds amazing and looks fantastic. This table doesn't show up on a lot of "best of" lists, but it should. I'm extremely happy, well done AT!

  • +

Design, Quality, Sound.Better than other Pro-Ject and Rega table options at this price point IMO.

  • -

Not really a Con, but it could do with-out a built-in pre-amp, but it's easily bypassed.

This is an awesome turntable the sound is fabulous and it is built like a tank. The build quality surpasses anything near its asking price. You wont touch a turntable this good for perhaps 3 times its price.

This is a near-perfect record player. The only comment I have is to consider using a very thin (2mm) slip mat.I had major static build up problems if I did not use one. My records became positively charged and would attract dust - BIG TIME.

  • +

    Fantastic Sound Quality, High Quality

  • -

    Needs slip mat

I shopped long and hard in finally settle upon the LP7. I think the build quality is superb. All the buttons and have a great finish. The removable dust cover takes a little discipline when using because you automatically want to think that it is attached by a hinge.

  • +

    Quality build.

  • -

    Drive felt dislodges too easily.

I've been using this table for a five years and it still produces sound like day one. Has great sound with the stock cartridge. I'm saving for a better Audiotechnia Stylus, until then no complaints on the sound.

  • +

Above average cartridge and stylus, Build Quality, Easily replace any Audiotechnia stylus in the VM, Sound

  • -

Can be difficult to set up, No hydraulic lift

Hard to know where to start. All I can say are positives. The build quality is excellent, ease of set-up, virtually none. Setting about five feet from an SVS 2000 pro sub and zero issues with vibrations coming into the table causing any audio issues.

  • +

Build quality, looks, sound, flexibility, ease of set-up and a removable dust over without hinges.

  • -

The normal inexpensive cartridge that is supplied with any turntable. Feet will stick to any surface, so make sure the table is where you want it when you set it down.

I waited a while for this turntable to become available again and I am glad I did. It is worth the wait. It is a very solid and stable table that looks great. I know some do not care for the dust cover but I actually prefer to not have hinges.

    Great Sound, Stylish

I replaced a u-turn that I was never really sold on with the lp-7. I couldn't believe the difference. This table does everything better...not just by a little. I am more than happy with the included cartridge. This table is a keeper.

  • +

Adjustable everything from the legs up.Great cartridge.Sound is spectacular.

  • -

Really needs to be on a very solid and inert surface. Otherwise knocking on the mounting surface will resonate thru the table despite the rubber feet.

This LP-7 turntable optimizes my OC9 XML cartridge; and, the reverse can be said as well, the OC9 XML cartridge optimizes my LP-7 turntable. It is a thing of engineered beauty. At all levels. This is a turntable performing well above its price point.
