works as it should picks up good fidelity, not too long as to stick into camera view. fits well on my sony ax-2000 with rubber shim that came with it.
I bought this microphone for my Canon XHA1 because it had a compact design. The microphone comes with rubber spacers which are needed with the specific camera I use. The microphone is very sensitive and picks up every sound in the environment.
This microphone is a very nice addition to my canon xa10. My camcorder's internal microphone has an irritating background noise that will not go away so this microphone definitely helped out a lot! It is not the best in windy environments which I expected but it sounds great besides that!

This does a very good job with low and high volume audio at events.

This microphone is amazing! It picks up really great audio for my Canon XA10. I would recommend it to everyone.
Simple design, solid metal construction, good price point.
I use this with my Panasonic AG-HMC40. It is a real upgrade from the on board microphone, and also a big improvement over the Rode VideoMic I have been using. There is a noticable improvement in the quality of the sound I'm getting.
