What I liked most about it had to be the tailored frequency reduction to help out in situations where there is a lot of noise. What I mean by that string of words is the XM8500 will output less feedback than the SM58. Lets not beat around the bush, this is a copy of the SM58. sM58 xM8500.
I was surprised at the quality of the microphone for the price. It was a lot heavier than I expected. Basically I expected a cheap "radio...." mic and that's not what this is.
for and inexpensive mic this is really good... I bought two for my singing gigs
I didn't know what to expect with this mic really, at that price. Boy, was I surprised when I tried it out. It is a quality mic. Good for lots of studio uses. I have used it to mic guitar amps, drums, vocals, and all have turned out fine.

Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use, Versatile
For the price, about as good as you get. This mic is unbelievable. The price has nothing to do with the quality this mic puts out..Behringer sure knows how to deliver value. buy it you wont regret it

This mic has a VERY clean response that bring out the tone of my lows, mids, and highs with stunning clarity. I have used several quality mics over the years, and the XM8500 ranks among my favorites. From a side by side comparison with the SM58 and could not tell a difference in sound quality.

its hard to complain about this mic for the price and quality only thing i noticed is it doesnt have an on/off switch, no quality mic that I know of does - including the 58
At 20% the cost of a SM58 it is a great backup or primary announcement mic. If I was singing I would buy the Shure. It is rugged and it feels good in your hand but it doesn't have the presence rise that the more expensive mics have.
