Today we’re taking a look at BenQ’s GW2765HT monitor. This 27-inch monitor isn’t a gaming model, but it still provides some impressive specs and features that could be of interest to gamers and non-gamers alike.
For under £300 you can’t go too wrong, so the BenQ GW2765HT has been awarded a well-earned 9/10 and our “Great Value” award.

Reasonably priced at around £285, Very vivid colours, Incredible display quality thanks to Quad HD, Great features (blue light / flicker-free technology), Fairly portable / ease to move, Good build quality, Easily adjustable viewing angles thanks to solid arm

Settings panel a bit of a nightmare due to button placement, Another HDMI port would enable users to hook up a couple of devices without having to switch cables all the time
The BenQ’s factory settings reveal that this screen is a true mid-ranger – it trades blows with its rivals but doesn’t manage to excel in any one area. Its colour temperature of 6,085K is closer to the 6,500K ideal than the cool Samsung, but it’s further away than the Dell panel could...

Good contrast and colour accuracy, Consistent screen quality, Versatile stand design

No USB ports, Specialised screens excel elsewhere, Pricier than rivals
The BenQ GW2765HT performed pretty well overall, meeting our expectations really for this kind of display. Connectivity and features were solid, with a good range of video inputs and a decent stand provided.
Cheap with good image quality, the BenQ GW2765HT brings WQHD resolution and IPS quality to a new, low price
I bought this for photo editing. I did calibrate it with a Spyder Pro, but the result was almost identical to the factory calibration. The panel seems great, with great color reproduction, etc.
I have enjoyed this display for the most part for a couple years. It was a nice upgrade from my Lacie display I had for 8 years. My biggest gripe is on 2 different machines the display at times struggles to detect HDMI.

Pleasant color, Good pre sets for different modes, Blue Eye

Inputs don't always detect on startup, Poor support from BenQ
I would recommend you look for another monitor if your goal is reliable 2560x1440 resolution, which was exactly why I wanted these.

Good image quality, easy to set up. When it works, the 1440x2560 resolution looks good vertically.

Display Port often doesn't recognize signal, can take days for it to register again, very frustrating. As I write this, 1 of 2 of my monitors has to be on DVI because the DP won't recognize the signal. I'm using the cables that came with the monitors.
I was equivocating between a 24" monitor and a 27". Since this seemed like a great value for a 27" with 2560 x 1440 I went for it and I'm glad that I did. The monitor tilts and swivels on the stand which rotates on a lazy susan turntable. The resolution is wonderful.
