The Bose Portable Home Speaker delivers Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control with powerful wireless audio for its size, if not its price.

Powerful audio with rich bass and crisp highs., Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control., Streams via AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

Expensive., Mono., Speaker has trouble with deep bass at high volume levels.
“It's never been easier to take room-filling sound with you, without sacrificing smart speaker features.”
-
+
Very portable, High sensitivity mics, Great 360-degree sound, Alexa and Google Assistant, AirPlay 2
-
-
Limited app features, Missing some midrange, Not ideal for Android
This small speaker has a huge sound, I just wish it was a bit tougher
-
+
Perfect portable size and design, The Bose app has a nice design, 360-degree sound quality is stellar
-
-
The white version gets dirty easily, The Bose app is limited in content, Charging dock isn't included
The Bose Portable Home Speaker is a waterproof portable speaker with built-in Google Assistant and Alexa, but slim smarts hold it back
Setting up the Bose Portable Home Speaker can be a little tricky, only in that mine crashed the first time and had to wait 15 minutes or so before it did its thing and started working again.
Not perfect and definitely not cheap, but the feature-packed Bose Portable Home Speaker is still very easy to like
-
+
Premium and very portable design, Room-filling 360 sound, Alexa and Google Assistant all over the house, IPX4 means it can go outdoors too
-
-
Very expensive, You can find better-sounding speakers that cost less, Bose Music app is average
There’s a lot to like about the Bose Portable Home Speaker; it’s super smart, and its design blends functionality with minimalist chic. It may not sound quite as powerful as the Sonos Move, but it’s still a solid choice if you don’t want to sacrifice audio fidelity for portability.
-
+
Great design, Choice of Alexa or Google Assistant, Warm, well-balanced sound
-
-
Bass lacking compared to Sonos Move, Expensive
You buy Bose because you usually buy Bose. And you will not be disappointed. It is great as a voice-operated speaker in small to mid-sized rooms. We say that because you don’t want to drive it too hard – 60-70% volume is its sweet spot.
-
+
Nice, listenable unique ‘Bose’ sound signature, Up to 12-hour battery life, Good far-field mics, Bose quality
-
-
Water-resistant – not waterproof, No Chromecast or 3.5mm AUX-in, EQ adjustment does little – it is what it is, If using as a voice speaker, it need to remain on power in Wi-Fi range
I expected way better sound quality from Bose. They are a wonderful company but i feel they really missed the mark on this one, particularly at the price point. I will buy other Bose products, but this one fell short in several ways. The battery didn't last as well on standby as expected, either.

It's Bose

It's not Bose usual sound quality, and for the price it should be!
I bought this for the pool and beach. I wanted to use alexa without using my alexa phone app. The setup could have been better made, but eventually got it to work. I suggest having two phones for setup (one time) for wifi hot (your phone), and another to set up the secondary wifi login/pw.
Speaker works well. I am still learning about different things you can do with it. I wanted a good speaker that's why a chose a Bose Speaker. Its tight on a wallet but it's should last a long time.
Great sound, portability and way to use. Much easier to use than Sonos systems.. I have both and prefer Bose based on the sound and ease of use.
Bose never lets you down. I purchased the Bose Portable Home Speaker to put in our 69 Chevelle and 75 MGB both have AM radios, The Chevelle is loud and the MG is a convertible. So we need lots of Powerful sound. The Bose Portable Home Speaker was the perfect fit for the job !

Excellent and powerful sound out of a portable speaker. Amazing!! Plus you can take it anywhere .

There are NO cons with that his speaker.
I bought this 3 days back, sound quality at it's best. No one can beat Bose in it.But here are few things before purchase we need to understand. As mentioned in the details "Smart Speaker" and "All-in-one".I understand as smart speaker, it should have basic functionality (at least) :1.
We love the speaker! It was a little difficult getting it set up. But my teenager was able to do it
Works very well. Great bass and connects with Alexa.
Sounds Great , very good battery life. I have to down rate it because it is not backward compatible with Soundtouch items. The rest of my home is filled with Bose Soundtouch speakers including a Lifestyle 650. Now I had to settle for this outlier to get this functionality on the deck.

I just purchased the portable home speaker, And from the very start of using it I haven't stopped. It was going to be used in my work vehicle that only has a fm/am radio. I listened to Xm Radio and made a holder that sits on the floor board for this speaker, the sound is everywhere and sounds...
