Wonderful image - incredible stabilization, very luminous. You can read a newspaper across the street.Get for them the Canon anti-fog eyepieces, some Zacuto eye cup rubber extensions from the eyepieces to your face, and a simple elastic harness...
built like a tank. like canon's looong white lenses. great product albeit expensive. worth it
I took them to the Crane migration event in Kearney Nebraska and they worked very well in low light and better than expected. The Binoculars are heavier than what I normally use. However, in the blind where I had a way of resting the binoculars on something they worked nicely.
As steady as you try to hold yourself, even your beating heart will cause the visual field to jiggle, but the built-in stabilization works perfectly (and quietly) to provide easy viewing. These superb optics are not meant for hikers but for observers at fixed positions.
These are excellent binoculars. Power is good, picture is crystal clear and the Stabilization feature makes it unnecessary to mount it on a tripod (although there is an easy way to do it). I should have bought these years ago.
In Image Stabilization in this binocular works very well (no surprise, since Canon is the company that invented the technology in the first place and then licensed it out to the other manufacturers) - with 18x power that makes all the difference!
Great to see distant movement like aircraft then view without wobble!
Very good piece of kit for looking at wildlife etc.
I purchased these for looking at the night sky, for those occasions when it wasn't convenient to get out the telescope (e.g. when out driving, or when clouds offered quick glimpses of something).
Love them
